Jayawardanepura Uni Chancellor's term extended
President Maithripala Sirisena extended the 5-year term of Ven. Dr Bellanwila Wimalaratana Nayake Thero as Chancellor of the Shrijayawardanepura University for a further period of five years, the President Media Unit said. The President handed over the letter of extension to Ven Wimalaratana Thero at the Bellanvila Rajamaha Viharaya yesterday.
The President offered pooja at the temple and obtained blessings from the Maha Sangha on this occasion. Mr. P B Abeykoon, Secretary to the President was also present on this occasion.
