Deputy Solicitor General Dileepa Peiris informed the Nugegoda Magistrate's Court that the Colombo Crime Division is hoping to obtain phone records of the three current and former judges who are alleged to have had phone conversations with former State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake.
DSG Peiris also informed Nugegoda Additional Magistrate U.K. Pelpola that the CCD is also hoping to subject High Court Judge Gihan Pilapitiya, former High Court Judge Padmini Ranawaka Gunathilake and Magistrate Dhammika Hemapala to a voice test.
Meanwhile, the AG's Department further stated that it would investigate and report back to court, whether the alleged phone recordings between Mr Ramanayake and various other individuals had been leaked to media institutions and social media while they were in the custody of the police.
