The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) has said that it would nominate its own presidential candidate if the 20th amendment to the constitution is not passed in Parliament.
This was announced by JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva while addressing a public rally in Wennappuwa.
Mr. Silva noted that a final decision in this regard will be taken before the end of May.
