Kandy-bound train derails at Maradana
A Kandy-bound train had derailed today (Sept 27) evening near Maradana after departing from Colombo Fort, the Railways Department said.
The derailment is reported to be due to an issue with the train's engine.
According to the Department, some trains had been in operation today despite the ongoing strike which began yesterday.
