Karuna released on bail

Former Deputy Minister Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan alias 'Karuna Amman,' who had been in remand custody for allegedly misusing a Government vehicle, was released on bail today by the Colombo Chief Magistrate.

He was taken into custody by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) on November 29 and subsequently remanded till today (December 7).
