Minuwangoda Magistrate ordered Saman Jaylath, the brother of Dunesh Priyashantha alias 'Kondaya' to be further remanded when he was produced in court today. He was arrested in connection with the murder and sexual assault of the five-year-old girl in Kotadeniyawa. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) earlier informed the court that DNA samples found on the girl's body match Saman Jayalath. Moreover, Jayalath also confessed to the murder at the courts.
Ajith Gallage, the owner of a Bird Park in Nagarawawa, Hambantota, has been remanded over allegations of concealing illegally imported motorcycles, in a warehouse owned by him.
