The Disaster Management Center said in a statement that in the event rains continues for another 24 hours, the warning issued for four districts on landslides and rock falls will continue.
These four districts include Ratnapura, Kalutara, Galle, and Matara. People living in all mountainous areas, man made cut slopes and roads within the district, especially all the landslide susceptible areas previously identified by the National Building Research Organization (NBRO) should be alert in this regard, the center said.
