The State Minister of Sri Lanka Foreign Affairs Vasantha Senanayake, currently in the Philippines to attend the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) met with Prak Sokhonn, the Foreign Minister of Cambodia on August 4 in Manila during which meeting initiatives relating to economic and trade, tourism, education cooperation and the long standing cultural cooperation and Buddhist linkages were discussed.
State Minister Senanayake also conveyed Sri Lanka's desire to intensify Sri Lanka's closer cooperation with ASEAN including as a future Sectoral Dialogue Partner and sought Cambodia's support for this intended partnership. The State Minister will also attend the Grand Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN. He is joined by Buddhika Pathirana MP.
