The government welcomed the promulgation of the new Constitution of Nepal and said it would be a key step in its journey towards national reconciliation, political stability and development, a statement from Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. "As a sincere friend of Nepal, Sri Lanka will continue its partnership in Nepal's development and work towards further enhancing the excellent relations which exists between the two countries," it said.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
