Sri Lankan athlete Parami Wasanthi Fernando won a Bronze medal at the Youth Olympic Games in Argentina yesterday (15). She is the first female youth to win a medal in Youth Olympic Games.
Parami Wasanthi won the bronze medal in the 2000 meters Steeplechase event recording a time of 6 minutes 33.06 seconds. This is also a personal best for Parami.
