Newly appointed Sri Lankan High Commissioner to the UK Manisha Gunasekara called on UK State Minister Mark Field in London on January 17.
Mark Field - the UK's State Minister for Asia and the Pacific of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and Ms. Gunasekara discussed the strengthening of bilateral relationships between Sri Lanka and the UK in the political and economic spheres.
Further, High Commissioner Gunasekara had also briefed Mr. Field on the current develpoments in Sri Lanka while also acknowledging the support extended by the UK Government towards the country’s reconciliation process.
Deputy High Commissioner Sugeeshwara Gunaratna also accompanied the High Commissioner during the visit.
