A Sri Lankan housemaid was stabbed to death by a 27 years old Citizen in Umm Al- Hayman area this morning, Kuwaiti media reported. The father of the suspect had called police, saying that his son killed the maid and then he escaped to an unknown area. Later, he was arrested by Ahmadi detectives. The body was recovered by the coroner and the suspect was sent to concerned authorities while a case was registered for investigation. (The Kuwait Local)
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
