Sri Lankan Navy personnel allegedly chased away Rameswaram fishermen by throwing stones at their boats while they were fishing near Katchatheevu on Thursday, a local fishermen organisation functionary said. The fishermen, who had set out in 100 mechanised boats, returned to shore as the Lankan navy personnel allegedly threw stones at their boats around 3 am besides threatening and chasing them, Rameswaram fishermen organisation president Sagayam said. The fishermen came back without any catch. (PTI)
