A Sri Lankan refugee was hacked to death in his house at Puliampatti refugee camp near Palani on Wednesday night. The deceased was identified as G. Kamala Nathan (35), a daily wage worker engaged in painting work. Acting on a complaint filed by Kamala Nathan’s wife Naga Rani, who works in a private dairy farm in Palani, police arrested Dhandapani (25) of Palani. When she returned home from work around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Naga Rani saw Kamala Nathan lying in a pool of blood. (The Hindu)
