A Sri Lankan national having suspected links with banned terrorist organisation LTTE was detained by intelligence and airport authorities in Pune on Thursday morning. The detained person has been identified as Suthan Suppiah.
According to the police sources, on receipt of specific information, Intelligence Bureau and CISF officials detained a Sri Lankan who was boarding a Luftansa flight for Frankfurt early morning on Thursday.
"During interrogation he told that he had worked for LTTE. He has forged passport and visa. While passport had his name as Marimuthuraju, his real name Suthan Suppiah. We are verifying his claims," said an intelligence officer. The foreign national is presently being interrogated at Vimannagar police station in Pune.(dnaindia)
