Locally brewed spirit kills two persons
Two men, aged 54 and 47, from Mirigama have died after consuming a home brewed spirit while another person has been hospitalised, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
The deceased, both siblings from Mottewatte, Mirigama have consumed the liquor brought in by a fellow villager at their mother’s funeral. Post mortems are to be conducted today (15).
DIG Rohana said Mirigama police are investigating the suspicious deaths.
