The Colombo Chief Magistrate granted permission for two suspected members of National Thowheed Jamath (NTJ) to be detained for further questioning till May 02 by the Kotahena Police.
The suspects who had CDs in their possession with extremist content were arrested by the intelligence officers of the Kotahena Police who had received information and produced the members before the magistrate.
Twelve CDs, a lap top computer, mobile phones and electronic items were seized from the possession of the suspects.
The Kotahena police informed the court that the suspects needed to be questioned further.
Accordingly, the Additional Magistrate Bandarana Nelumdeniya granted leave to question the suspects till until May 2.
