Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa took oaths as the 23rd Prime Minister of Sri Lanka today (Nov 21).
He was sworn in before President Gotabaya Rajapaksa a short while ago.
He will lead the government's caretaker cabinet until the general election.
Rajapaksa was appointed as Prime Minister following his predecessor Ranil Wickremesinghe's resignation from the position today.
