Mahindananda Aluthgamage further remanded

Parliamentarian Mahindananda Aluthgamage, who was in remand custody over money laundering charges, was today remanded again till September 27 by the Colombo Magistrate's Court. 

Mr. Aluthgamage had been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on September 15 when he went to give a statement. 

The CID has informed court that its investigations had revealed that the former Sports Minister had purchased a house on Kynsey Road in Colombo by spending Rs.27 million allegedly earned through unlawful means.
