Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peris removed the bail condition today that restricted Malaka Silva from attending enclosed and open public gatherings. The Magistrate ordered to continue the bail condition which prohibited entering any nightclub for the duration of the case. Former Minister Mervyn Silva’s son Malaka Silva arrested by the police on November 2, 2014 over an assaulting incident of a foreigner at a nightclub on Duplication road, Colombo 3. He was released on bail on November 28, 2014 . Counsel Kosala Rekawa appeared for Malaka Silva pleaded last Tuesday from the magistrate to lessen bail conditions of Malaka.
