Maldives Ambassador calls on Army Chief
Maldives Ambassador to Sri Lanka Omer Abdul Razzak paid a courtesy call on Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva yesterday (Oct 7).
During a meeting at the Army Headquarters, both officials had discussed matters concerning the military cooperation involving both countries.
Maldives Defence Attaché Lieutenant Commander Ismail Naseer also accompanies the Ambassador during the visit.

SLAF Bell 212 crashes into Maduru Oya
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
