Man dies by consuming acid after attacking woman, two kids
A man who attacked a woman and her two kids with acid at their residence in Kegalle before consuming it has died yesterday, police said.
According to the police, the incident had taken place due to a dispute that had taken place between the man and the woman.
Preliminary investigations have shown that the attacker had previously attempted to shoot the woman. A locally-manufactured firearm has also been recovered by the police.
The woman and her children are currently receiving treatment at the Kegalle hospital. Further investigations continue.
