Two women have died following a domestic dispute where they were stabbed to death in Tissamaharama today (Mar 23).
The incident had taken place when a man had stabbed his wife and mother-in-law using a sharp object following a heated domestic dispute.
The victims, 25-year old H.H. Nadeesha Lakmali and 54-year old G.P. Kumuduni Malkanthi had died while receiving treatment at the Debarawewa Base hospital.
The suspect involved in the stabbing has been taken into custody, Police Spokesman S.P. Ruwan Gunasekara said. Tissamaharama police are investigating further into the incident.
