Mangala meets top US official on Global Women’s Issues
The visiting U.S Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues, Catherine Russell met with Foreign Affairs Minister Mangala Samaraweera yesterday, ministry said in a statement.
Ambassador Russell also held talks with Chandrani Bandara, Minister of Women and Children’s Affairs.
She will discuss strategies to advance women’s economic empowerment and issues related to gender based violence.
