Public Health Inspectors have ordered the closure of some 30 massage parlours and Spas in the Habarana area following protests by residents in the area.
The residents claimed that the massage parlours and Spas were posing a health risk as the coronavirus could spread from these locations as well.
The PHIs ordered to close the location and disinfect the places before they were allowed to reopen.
The protests came hours after reports that one of the Spa employees was taken for treatment after being suspected to be infected for coronavirus.
