Measures are being taken to meet the shortfall of drugs in hospitals across the country.
Currently there is a shortage of 14 vital drugs that do not have alternatives and 125 essential drugs.
The Medical supply division MSD and SPC State pharmaceuticals corporation have informed the Health Ministry to have these drugs airlifted immediately.
A health MInistry official said within a week the shortage should be resolved
