Measures are being taken to release 400 acres of land in the Mayiliddy area in the Jaffna Valikaamam region.
This was revealed during an observation tour undertaken by Northern Province Governor Suren Raghavan in the area last morning (March 31).
Further Northern Commander Major General Dharshana Hettiarachchi told Times Online while commenting on the issue that they hoped to release the lands "after funds are allocated to transfer the Army Camp which is located in the area."
The Governor visited the Mayiliddykarai North area which was recently released by the security forces.
