The Finance Ministry will take measures in the future regarding salary increments in the private sector, State Minister J. C. Alawathuwala said.
The State Minister of Internal & Home Affairs and Provincial Councils and Local Government, made these remarks at a media briefing held at the UNP headquarters at Sirikotha in Kotte.
The State Minister said in previous instances when salary increments were made in the public sector, requests were received to reciprocate the same in the private sector as well.
Further Mr Alawathuwala said the government would take steps to ensure that the private sector does not suffer an injustice.
