Commerce Minister Bandula Gunawardena has urged the US government to support scholarship programmes for Sri Lankan students.
The Minister during a meeting with the US Ambassador in Sri Lanka Alaina B. Tepliz also proposed increasing cooperation between the two countries on higher education and business opportunities.
Minister Gunawardena pointed out the developments in the field of software engineering.
The Ambassador discussed the possibility of increasing imports from Sri Lanka, the Commerce Ministry said in a press release.
