A search operation has been carried out in Mannar and included the residence of Minister Rishad Bathiudeen located in Mannar as well today (May 06).
The search was carried out with the participation of the Army, Police and the Special Task Force (STF) in the Tharapuram Village in Mannar.
Following the search, security forces said that they had not discovered any suspicious item at Mr. Bathiudeen's residence. However, a few suspicious knives were discovered in the village and had been handed over to the Mannar Police.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce had taken wing to Oman on Friday night.
