The misappropriation case filed against two individuals including Parliamentarian Udaya Gammanpila has been fixed for further hearing on March 12, 2020 by the Colombo High Court.
The suspects have been accused of misappropriating Rs 21 million while selling shares of a company owned by an Australian national to local business tycoon Dhammika Perera between 1997 and 2000.
The Australian national, Bryan Haddick had filed a complaint against Mr. Gammanpila at the Police Financial Crimes Investigations Bureau.
The case is being heard before Justice Dhammika Ganepola.
