Police have recorded statements from more than 40 individuals pertaining to the Tangalle shooting incident which claimed four lives yesterday (Dec 25).
Police spokesman, S.P. Ruwan Gunasekara said that a total of 11 teams have been deployed to carry out investigations into the shooting incident.
Issuing a press release, S.P Gunasekara said the bodies of the victims currently lie at the Hambantota hospital and would be handed over to families following a post-mortem examination which would be carried out by the Hambantota Coroner.
