The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) has said that more than 600,000 persons have been affected by the drought across seven districts.
According to statistics shown by the DMC, around 173,000 families have been affected due to the scarcity of water in the Monaragala, Trincomalee, Ratnapura, Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu, Mannar and Puttalam districts.
