Woman dies while daughter left critically injured as ferris wheel collapses at a park

A woman succumbed to death while her daughter was left critically injured after a ferris wheel at a park had collapsed in Naiwala today (Feb 04).

The mother and the daughter suffered severe injuires following which they were admitted to the Gampaha General Hospital.

The deceased has been identified as 47-year old Viyathi Siyambalapitiya and a resident of Kotugoda.

Meanwhile, the girl who was receiving treatment at the ICU of the Gampaha Hospital has been transferred to the Colombo General Hospital for further treatment.
