MP Karunathilaka appointed as Chief Opposition Whip
Parliamentarian Gayantha Karunathilaka has been appointed as the Chief Opposition Whip.
This decision had been made when opposition parliamentarians had met under United National Party (UNP) leader Ranil Wickremesinghe today.
Karunathilaka previously served as the Chief Government Whip of the UNP-led United National Front government from 2015 to 2018.
