Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa arrived at the Special Presidential Commission to probe large scale corruption a shortwhile ago to record a statement.
He was summoned to the Commission over allegation of payments that had not been made to the Independent Television Network (ITN) for the commercials telecast during the last Presidential election period.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
