Nadeemal Perera, 24, the son of singer Amal Perera who was arrested upon arrival from Dubai today (March 27) by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has been released following questioning.
Mr Perera was deported today along with Prisons officer Lalith Kumara from Dubai and arrived at around 6.15 am on Fly Dubai flight FZ-547.
Further, the Criminal Investigations Department has taken steps to hand over Prisons officer Lalith Kumara to the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD).
