Anti-corruption Front Director, Namal Kumara yesterday (Dec 03) said that he is guilty of forging his G.C.E. O/L examination certificate to join the Army.
Accordingly, Mr. Kumara had said that he is prepared to serve a death sentence if it was required for committing such an unlawful act.
"I knew that I would be caught for doing this when I revealed the assassination plot. This is because the state intelligence officers were investigating me apart from the case. However, I was not prepared to cover up my faults and prevent myself from revealing the assassination plot against the President" he told reporters yesterday.
The CID has so far uncovered one percent of the case, Mr. Kumara said.
"If the investigators are intelligent enough they will uncover the entirety of it" he added.
