The Narammala Pradeshiya Sabha Vice Chairman who had allegedly assaulted a police officer has been remanded until July 03, police said.
According to the Police, Manjula Polgampola, the suspect had assaulted a constable attached to the Narammala Police station on June 29.
He was remanded after being produced before the Kuliyapitiya Magistrate's Court today (Jun 30).
