The United National Front (UNF) reversed their plan to table the national government proposal before Parliament since they knew that it would be defeated, SLFP Youth Front Chairman MP Shantha Bandara said.
Addressing an SLFP press briefing yesterday (Feb 12), he pointed out that the UNF's intention was to form a so-called national government in a bid to increase the number of cabinet ministers.
He also said that the whole country should be deeply worried regarding certain parliamentarians who have maintained links with underworld criminals.
"They are not the true representatives of the people" he claimed.
