Navy personnel supported flood relief efforts in the North by cleaning up water wells in the Kilinochchi and Mullativu districts.
Accordingly, 15 relief teams have been deployed to clean up drinking water wells that were affected by the floods experienced in the area.
It is reported that 10 water wells have been cleaned while approximately 1000 litres of clean drinking water have been provided to the people.
In addition, mobile kitchens, and cooking utensils belonging to the Navy have been set up in the North as a temporary relief measure.
