Navy Commander Vice Admiral Travis Sinniah along with his wife Mrs. Thiruni Sinniah visited the historic Madhu Shrine in Mannar and paid homage to the Madhu Matha this week. Rev. Farther Emilian Pillei conducted special religious rituals to invoke blessings on the Commander of the Navy, Mrs. Thiruni Sinniah and all naval personnel.
Vice Admiral Sinniah took time off to pay homage to the Madhu Shrine during his recent visit to the North Central Naval Command. The occasion was also attended by the Commander North Central Naval Area, Rear Admiral Merril Wickramasinghe and several senior naval officers. Marking the significance of the Navy Commander’s visit to the North Central Command, Rear Admiral Wickramasinghe also presented a memento to Vice Admiral Sinniah.
