The Navy in coordination with the Special Operation Bureau of Excise Department and Officials from National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol apprehended a person with a stock of illegal cigarettes in Rathmalana area on Tuesday.
This stock which contained 3600 Nos. of illegal cigarettes.
The recovery was made during a raid conducted by Navy in coordination with the Special Operation Bureau of Excise Department and Officials from National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol.
The suspect with the stock of illegal cigarettes were taken into Naval custody.
Further investigation on the suspect and the haul of cigarettes, are conducted by the Special Operation Bureau of Excise Department-Colombo.
