Navy in coordination with the officials of the Police Narcotics Bureau recovered 31.5kg of Kerala Cannabis at Chavakachcheri area in Kodikamam today, Navy said.
Accordingly, Naval personnel attached to the Northern Naval Command in coordination with the officials of the Police Narcotics Bureau-Jaffna had searched a suspicious bag on the roadside, during a raid and found this haul of Kerala Cannabis bagged into 15 parcels.
The suspects are believed to have escaped leaving the haul of Kerala Cannabis, due to the combined operation of the Navy and Police Narcotics Bureau. The haul of KG was handed over to Kodikamam Police for onward actions.
