The Sri Lanka Navy has strongly refuted claims published in certain websites and on social media that it has temporarily withdrawn from operations aimed at eradicating COVID-19.
Issuing a media release, the navy insisted that such claims were completely false and that navy personnel are continuing to engage in COVID-19 related operations in the country.
The navy also said it has taken steps to initiate legal action against institutions and persons who spread such false reports.
