Over 700 kilos of beedi leaves floating in waters were recovered during a patrol conducted in Sinnapadu, North Western sea area, Navy media said.
The stock of drenched beedi leaves is believed to have been left behind by the smugglers in fear of routine naval patrols. The seized consignment of beedi leaves has been handed over to Sinnapadu Customs Office for further investigation.
