The cabinet of ministers have approved a proposal to continue the functions of the Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital as a government teaching hospital.
The proposal was put forward by Minister of Health (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne during Tuesday's cabinet meeting.
Accordingly, the Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital would function as the Colombo East Teaching Hospital in parallel to the Colombo East Base Hospital commonly known as the Mulleriyawa Hospital.
