New Ayurveda Research Hospital to find causes of kidney disease

The Ministry of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine has initiated steps to construct a new Ayurveda Research Hospital in Medawachchiya to find causes behind the chronic kidney disease which is especially prevalent in the North Central Province.

The newly constructed hospital will be declared open by Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Dr Rajitha Senaratne on August 6. 

In addition, six new community health centers will also be declared open by the Minister at Galenbindunu Wewa and Thalawa areas. The centers are aimed at bringing ayurvedic treatment services to the villages, the Ministry added.
