Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) announced that Mrs Sarah Hulton OBE has been appointed British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka in succession to Mr James Dauris.
Mrs Hulton will take up her appointment during August 2019. She currently serves as the Deputy Director of Human Resources Directorate at FCO.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
