Jude Nilukshan assumed duties as the Director General of the National Budget Department at the Finance Ministry this morning.
Nilukshan once served as a Senior Assistant Secretary to the Cabinet.
He also also held the postitions of Assistant Director and Director at the National Budget Department, and also as a Director of the Customs Department.
The new Director General is a Grade 1 Administrative Officer.
He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Sri Jayawardenapura and a Master's Degree in International Trade and Economic Cooperation from South Korea's Kyung Hee University.
